Production and supply of good seeds with high compliance

The seed production system comprises 4 steps; breeder’s stock – breeder’s seed – foundation seed – registered seed. The production of breeder’s seeds and foundational seeds are carried out by the Seed Center in JBARES. The registered seeds are produced using the foundational seeds and distributed to farmers. It supplies native seeds to farmers who request native seeds by collecting and proliferating the native genetic resources every year for collecting and keeping native genetic resources, which have been rapidly disappearing and reminding farmers of the importance of native seeds

Research on Valuable Insects and Sericulture & Production & Distribution of Good Silkworm Eggs

JBARES develops and investigates the technology for the production of functional sericulture products, with high added value, including the development of breeding technology and eco-friendly year-round mulberry cultivation for mass production and selects the insect resources, which can be developed for various purposes including food, feed, or emotional purposes. Furthermore, good silkworm eggs are produced and supplied to farmers in accordance with the farming schedule of sericulture farmers. The exhibition and experience event has been planned for the sixth industrialization of sericulture and valuable insects.
